Required Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
Patient Diagnoses: Acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, sepsis, pulmonary fibrosis, ILD Special Procedures/Unit Details: Manage Amiodarone drip. Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in). Rapid response team activation. 1 year of recent experience -We have PCT’s on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG’s and any sort of activity of daily living -We have an in-house phlebotomy team that does all peripheral lab draws nursing is responsible for PICC lines and central lines Special Equipment: BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Chronic Ventilators, trach, chest tubes
