The
Manufacturing Engineer
supports the development, optimization, and maintenance of production processes for turboexpanders, including
machining, welding, balancing, and assembly
operations. The engineer drives
process improvement ,
cost reduction , and enhanced product quality, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand in-house and vendor capabilities to establish and manage
Bills of Operations (BOO)
for all parts. Use
SolidWorks
and
AutoCAD
drawings to design cost-effective, time-efficient production methods. Apply lessons learned from prior projects to optimize performance and reliability. Design and implement
fixtures, tools, and jigs
to improve productivity and precision. Analyze manufacturing operations for continuous improvement and cost reduction. Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability, quality, and safety. Create and maintain
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . Coordinate maintenance and repair services to maintain safe, functional equipment. Research and recommend
emerging technologies
to improve efficiency and quality. Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve issues and introduce new technologies. Promote compliance with all
safety standards and company policies . Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support. Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering . 2-5 years of experience in a
manufacturing environment . Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience with
turbo machinery or rotating equipment . Knowledge of
CNC machining and grinding
operations. Background in
tooling, fixturing, and production efficiency improvement . Required Skills:
SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software) Manufacturing Process Optimization Engineering Drawings & GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) Preferred Skills:
SAP (Routing and Production Versions) Google Workspace AWS / ASME Section IX familiarity Tooling and Fixture Design Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Additional Skills:
Workflow and equipment layout planning Manufacturing SOP creation and adherence Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Benefits:
