Overview: We are hiring a skilled and safety-conscious
Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician
to support high-demand production facilities in California's Central Valley. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and are seeking long-term employment with stable companies in essential sectors such as food processing, packaging, and distribution.
You'll be tasked with ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of electrical systems, automation controls, and production equipment. From installing and maintaining 480V motors to troubleshooting PLCs and repairing conveyor systems, this is a hands-on role that keeps critical infrastructure running. You'll work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot system failures, execute preventive maintenance plans, and make continuous improvements to maximize equipment uptime and safety.
This role offers an opportunity to expand your expertise in industrial automation and controls, while contributing to mission-critical operations that supply goods across the state and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving motors, panels, lighting, and controls
Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI systems, and sensors
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to complete installations and repairs
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and automation equipment
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and company-specific safety protocols
Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and upgrades
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or processing
Journeyman-level electrical knowledge and field troubleshooting ability
Proficiency with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable PLCs
Strong understanding of electrical codes and workplace safety standards
Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting production demands
Flexible to work rotating shifts, occasional weekends, and emergency calls as needed
