JR. AV Field Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Field Commissioning Engineer to support the installation, configuration, and commissioning of complex audiovisual and control systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DSP programming, AV networking, control system configuration, and field testing of integrated systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills for client interaction and documentation. Key Responsibilities:

Perform field closeout and commissioning of integrated audiovisual and control systems. Create, modify, and tune audio DSP files for various platforms such as Biamp, QSC, Polycom, BSS, Extron, Crestron, and Clearone. Configure AV equipment including video conferencing systems, displays, video walls, microphones, cameras, projection systems, and switching hardware. Utilize test equipment and software tools to verify installation quality, perform system testing, and troubleshoot performance issues. Configure and troubleshoot networked AV systems including AVB, Dante, and Video-over-IP solutions (e.g., NVX, Evertz, SVSI, NAV). Set up and support video conferencing endpoints (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize) and unified communications platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, BlueJeans, etc.). Program and configure Crestron control systems and collaborate with engineering and programming teams to ensure optimal system performance. Provide client training and demonstrations, including the development or review of training materials. Document configurations, update as-built drawings, generate commissioning reports, and communicate daily progress and punch lists. Participate in project closeout, documentation, and customer acceptance procedures. Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in audiovisual integration, commissioning, or related technical field. Hands-on experience with control system deployment (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC). Strong understanding of networked AV systems and related protocols (AVB, Dante, VoIP, Video-over-IP). Proficiency with cable terminations including audio, video, fiber, and network cabling. CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification preferred; technical degree or manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, etc.) a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and work at height when required. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. $90,000 - $100,000 a year
