Production Engineer Job Description
R2Q Operating, LLC is actively prospecting and acquiring proved-producing acreage in North Texas (Wichita Falls, TX and surrounding areasarea) and is need of a quality Production Engineer to manage new and existing properties. The production engineer will be responsible for day-to-day activity in his/her area of responsibility. Responsibilities will include artificial lift optimization, completion design, and interfacing with field personnel. Additionally, the engineer will also be working to optimize asset value through production and LOE optimization, economic evaluation, and enhanced production recovery methods.
Production Engineer Responsibilities Optimizing artificial lift equipment, including sucker-rod lift (typically beam pumping), gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, subsurface hydraulic pumps, progressing-cavity pumps, and plunger lift Evaluating inflow and outflow performance between the reservoir and the wellbore Designing completion systems, including tubing selection, perforating, sand control, matrix stimulation, and hydraulic fracturing Well, reservoir and facility management Water flooding surveillance and implementation. Conceptual well and completion design Make recommendations for optimizing production rates in existing assets. Perform reserve and profitability analysis on drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities. Compile risked economics for evaluating and ranking behind-pipe potential. Assist in semi-annual reserve evaluations on Company's operated and non-operated assets. Work in concert with field operations staff to meet production goals and cost metrics. Work closely with management to meet financial, production and other corporate goals. Position Requirements
Production Engineering Job Qualifications
10+ years of Production Engineering experience including (but not limited to): water flooding surveillance and implementation, creating production forecasts, and economic analysis. Additional knowledge and experience with Downhole Pumps, Oilfield Equipment, and Drilling and Completions. Knowledge of petroleum engineering operations and production methods for oil and natural gas recovery. Past experience in the Kamay area. Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering or related engineering discipline. Proficient in data management, computer, and analytical skills. (Tech Savvy) Exceptional time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
