Tandem Developer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Chicago, IL(Remote).

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining batch and OLTP applications and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Rate Range:

$44/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Tandem Developer job responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform using TAL, COBOL, or C. Ensure system reliability and performance through efficient coding and optimization of Tandem-based applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Tandem applications to ensure quality and stability. Support batch processing, transaction management, and file handling within the Tandem environment. Maintain and enhance existing Tandem systems, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Tandem (HP NonStop) development and system analysis. Strong proficiency in Tandem programming languages such as COBOL and TACL, with experience in batch and online transaction processing systems. Proven ability to analyze business requirements and deliver scalable, compliant technical solutions using Tandem tools like Pathway, TMF, and Guardian. Pay Details:

$44.00 to $45.00 per hour
