Job Description

A successful Field Service Technician at Datamax is able to incorporate exceptional customer service, mechanical skill, and basic electronics knowledge to care for Datamax's growing customer base.

Once locally trained, Field Service Technicians spend their days visiting Datamax customer sites to service, repair, and maintain Canon, Lexmark, HP, and/or other office equipment (Multifunctional Copiers, Printers, and Facsimile Equipment). In addition to assisting with the equipment needs of our customers, it is the responsibility of Datamax Field Service Technicians to effectively communicate with customers about technical and non-technical information regarding their equipment.

We arm our Field Service Technicians with the necessary training (certifications), tools, and parts to be successful in the field.

Job Requirements - Technical

Strong electromechanical and mechanical aptitude, basic electronics knowledge, and information technology (IT) networking knowledge is desired

The ability to quickly and accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical and IT problems

A+ and/or Network+ Certification and knowledge of information technology networking is a great asset to this position

Strong computer literacy

Previous experience and/or Certifications with Canon, Konica Minolta, and/or HP is a plus
