Position: Mechanical Test Technician
Location: Gloucester
type of position: Permanent
Working hours :37 hours per week flex start and finish
Salary: 36,000 per annum
Mechanical Test Technician required by industry leading engineering company to work at their Gloucester site. The successful candidate will for using hydraulic test rigs to test a variety of mechanical and hydraulic components.
Main Duties – Mechanical Test Technician
Test of hydraulic and mechanical components, following written instructions and adhering to industry standards and health and safety practices.
Testing units to the correct specifications and recording results.
Carrying out fault finding and repair of components where required.
Following test procedures and ensuring full traceability.
Supporting with quality inspection, investigations and project work.
Maintaining up to date knowledge of company health and safety policy.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following – Mechanical Test Technician
A background within a similar role, working with mechanical or hydraulic components ideally in assembly and test.
An understanding of health and safety risks associated with high pressure testing.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information.
Experience of working to tight tolerances and deadlines.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.
