About AMP

We're a leading digital advertising company with 325 employees headquartered in the far western Chicago suburbs. We provide more than 20,000 small business clients across the United States with innovative full-service marketing solutions and we're a profitable, steadily growing, debt-free company with a business model that is highly scalable. We're looking for a hands-on leader with a proven record of helping drive the success of growing privately-owned companies.

About the Role

We're seeking a high-rigor financial leader to serve as our Senior Director of Finance. You'll oversee accounting, payroll, audit, and compliance, and build our FP&A capabilities and KPI reporting to enable faster topline and bottom line growth. This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position, perfect for a working leader willing to do the work alongside the team while also improving existing processes and systems. The right candidate is an operator with the mindset of a former PE analyst, who thrives in the granular details of reconciling data, improving close cycles, and standardizing reporting processes. This is a perfect role for a financial architect who likes to pick up a hammer when needed, and for a leader who enjoys being close to the work - building dashboards, integrating systems, analyzing variances, improving processes, and mentoring team members directly.

What You'll Do

Operational Finance & Controls Oversee accounting, payroll, AP/AR, and cash management functions. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, year-end). Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital efficiency. Lead external audit processes and maintain strong internal controls. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and HR to align financial systems with business needs. GAAP ASC 606 compliance and SaaS KPIs

Upgrade workflows and optimize financial reporting and modeling tools - including NetSuite and Excel. Implement industry-standard KPI dashboards for recurring revenue technology providers Financial Analysis & Planning Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling, providing forward-looking insights for both steady-state operations and strategic growth initiatives. Analyze margins, pricing strategies, and cost drivers. Build and refine product-line and segment-level P&Ls to improve strategic visibility and performance accountability. Drive scenario planning and decision support for compensation planning, product development, vendor negotiations, and profitability optimization. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and manage a small team across accounting, payroll, and FP&A. Instill a culture of ownership, analytical excellence, and continuous improvement. Who You Are

10+ years in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. Proven track record in FP&A, strategic finance, or operating roles in growing private or PE-backed companies. Fluent in financial modeling, forecasting, and building complex P&Ls. Comfortable operating without layers of support - and willing to dive deep into spreadsheets, data, and workflows. Experience with NetSuite and strong Excel / modeling capabilities required. Familiar with SaaS metrics, deferred revenue, and subscription models. CPA or MBA a plus - but not required. Why This Role, Why Now

We're at a critical inflection point - growing, profitable, and scaling up our financial infrastructure. You'll have true ownership of the finance function, but without the political or bureaucratic trappings of a larger corporate role. Work with a collaborative and high-integrity leadership team that values clear insight and fast action. You'll shape the systems, tools, and processes that power our next stage of growth.
