Position Overview The Senior Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a vital role in enhancing the performance and reliability of our manufacturing plant. This key position is responsible for executing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operations of all machinery and equipment, and addressing any machine or system failures with troubleshooting expertise. Responsibilities Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all machinery and equipment according to established schedules. Repair or replace defective parts efficiently. Troubleshoot issues related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Set up and operate various metalworking tools including welders, mills, drill presses, and grinders to create or repair parts. Assist in the setup of new equipment lines and manage equipment changeovers. Maintain inventory of parts to ensure timely repairs and operations. Organize and keep tools, shop, and work area clean and orderly. Propose improvements to production methods, equipment performance, efficiency, and product quality. Safely test, repair, and operate equipment and tools. Utilize lock-out/tag-out devices properly. Perform building maintenance, including repairs and preventive maintenance on doors, docks, lighting, and more. Utilize basic woodworking skills to repair and construct tables, jigs, and other wooden structures. Read and interpret safety rules, operation instructions, and procedure manuals effectively. Qualifications Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of PLCs and programming, particularly with Allen Bradley. Extensive mechanical repair skills. Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Proven troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods. Experience in welding and fabricating preferred. Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable. Electrical background is a plus. Must pass background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment physicals. Minimum age of 18 years required.
