Summary:
A Santa Clara-based general contractor specializing in healthcare and higher education construction across California and Arizona is seeking a Project Engineer with 3–5 years of experience. The company has a strong track record of delivering high-quality work and offers a supportive team environment focused on growth and mentorship. The ideal candidate has a background in construction management or engineering and is proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. This role includes office and field responsibilities and offers long-term advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Support project managers and superintendents throughout preconstruction and construction
Write and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs
Interpret drawings, specs, ASIs, ACDs, NMAs, and ensure as-builts are current
Attend and document project meetings (OAC, coordination, etc.)
Help with bidding, monthly billing, closeouts, and project scheduling
Maintain photo logs, punch lists, and municipal permits
Communicate clearly with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners
Provide support in jobsite visits and material tracking
Follow filing protocols and document control procedures
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in construction (healthcare or education )
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
Self-motivated, organized, and open to learning
Strong verbal and written communication skills

EIT certification
Bilingual in Spanish or another
