A filler stops mid-run. An HMI alarm flashes. In seconds, you isolate the fault, reference the schematic, tweak a PLC routine, and bring the line back to rate—safely and efficiently. If that scenario energizes you, you’ll thrive as a Manufacturing Control Systems Technician on KIK’s 1st shift.
Your mission
Install, service, and improve industrial automation systems across production operations.
Troubleshoot, program, and repair PLC-controlled equipment (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
Modify PLC and HMI code to meet operational requirements and CI goals.
Optimize machine control logic to increase uptime, throughput, and reliability.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings with accuracy.
Contribute to control system design and equipment upgrade projects; support commissioning.
Ensure work aligns with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and site safety/quality standards.
Create and maintain accurate documentation for programs, schematics, and configurations.
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production to resolve root causes.
Drive preventive maintenance for control systems and electrical components.
Train maintenance technicians and operators on use and basic troubleshooting of automation.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related; Bachelor’s .
Minimum 2 years as a Controls or Electrical Technician in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Proficient with PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen‑Bradley RSLogix 5000, Siemens, Omron).
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, SCADA, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
Knowledge of industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.).
Expertise in electrical schematics, control panels, motor control circuits, and safety circuits.
Working knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-directed and collaborative; able to respond to off-hour emergencies when needed.

Compensation, shift, and rewards
1st shift role. Hourly rate of $30.00–$33.00, plus a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus and eligibility for a 3% quarterly incentive bonus. Total compensation is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
