Job DescriptionJob Description Welder Pay Rate and Hours:
$22.00/hr
M-Thur 5am-3:30pm, OT as required
Welder Purpose:
Performs a variety of welding and grinding procedures on a variety materials and parts using manual and semi-automatic machines.
Performs assembly/disassembly and fasten/unfastening parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications.
Welder Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares weld area appropriately to result in good weld penetration and meets structural integrity criteria
Welds metal components using primarily MIG or FLUX CORE welding wire
Welds galvanized and pre-primed material using appropriate techniques to produce high quality final parts
Welds metal components using automated and semi-automated equipment
Ensures dimensional accuracy and appearance criteria
Properly set and adjust welding machine to produce quality welds
Assembles/disassemble and fasten / unfasten parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications
Assemble / disassemble small parts not requiring precision alignment or small tolerances
Assemble / disassemble small parts requiring precision alignment and small tolerances
Performs any other assigned task
Welder Basic Requirements:
Prior non-code welding experience
Must be able to comprehend the English .
Welder Additional Requirements:
Ability to correctly prepare weld areas and set related equipment
Ability to weld areas of fitted components in a strategic pattern to minimize or avoid warpage due to post welding
Ability to perform welding in hard to reach and awkward positions
Welder Desired Skills:
Ability to achieve high performance goals with changing work directions
Good mechanical aptitude
