Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Technician I Number of Openings: 1 Positions Pay Rate: Position Summary: The Quality Technician I, under direct supervision, ensures the quality processes and products by performing audits, inspections, and tests. The role supports defect investigations, first article sample submission (AS9102), and maintains detailed documentation for internal processes and Source Inspection Items presented to customers. Key Responsibilities: Assist with product audits, inspections, and final shipment audits based on AS9100 standards. Support system and process audits (supplier certification, internal system, subcontractor audits, etc.). Investigate and resolve quality issues with support from the Quality Engineer. Maintain accurate ERP System/product transactions to ensure inventory accuracy. Interpret internal and customer specifications to identify acceptable and rejectable products. Develop and maintain inspection record filing systems for manufactured products. Ensure proper inspection documentation accompanies shipments, especially for Source Inspections. Support calibration of measurement equipment when needed. Assist Quality Assurance Engineers and Managers as required. Adhere to quality and safety systems and maintain safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Familiarity with AS9100 Aerospace Standard (knowledge of TS16949 or other related standards is a plus). Experience with First Article documentation and preparation (AS9102). Ability to read and interpret blueprints with strong attention to detail. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, Faro Arm CMM, pin gauges, drop gauges). Experience operating inspection/lab test equipment (OGP, hardness testers, etc.). Proficient in computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database management. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills using 8-Discipline techniques. Effective written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Background in RF and/or electrical field preferred. Basic mathematical knowledge. Must have good or corrected vision and the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently. Education and Experience: High school diploma required; additional technical courses, CQT or CMI preferred. Minimum of 3-4 years of Quality Inspector experience in manufacturing
