We have an opening for an Accounting Specialist to join our exceptional and growing team at Black Diamond Coatings. Black Diamond Coatings is a veteran-owned manufacturer of high-performance home improvement products - including sealers, polymeric sand, and mulch glue.
The Accounting Specialist supports BDC's financial operations by processing accounts payable, assisting with accounts receivable, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. This individual plays a key role in maintaining vendor relationships, verifying purchase order receipts, and supporting audit readiness through detailed documentation and recordkeeping.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills, and familiarity with QuickBooks and purchasing systems. It's ideal for someone looking to support accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders and receipts, and ensure timely payment. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Enter customer invoices when not automated. Support accounts receivable follow-ups when needed, including coordinating with Sales. Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions. Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and audit preparation. Coordinate with internal teams to verify invoice coding, approval routing, and receipt documentation. Identify opportunities to improve A/P workflow, accuracy, and system utilization. Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. Associates' or Bachelor's degree, preferred. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
