Supervising Engineer . Incumbents are licensed Professional Engineers and plan, direct, and manage a civil/and or traffic engineering section or sections of the Department of Public Works and Planning.

Samples of Duties Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum Qualifications Registration : Possession of a valid license or Certificate of Registration as a Professional Civil, Structural, or Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California, Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. Experience : Five (5) years of full-time, paid civil, structural, or traffic engineering work experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity over engineers. License : Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required. Note : Recruitment may be limited to candidates possessing an experience and/or license/certificate related to the specific position vacancy and approved by the Director of Human Resources. Positions in this classification are in Medical Group III - Heavy Physical Activity (Personnel Rule 8).
