AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP's millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience with a dynamic company? AARP Services, Inc. (ASI) is looking for you. We are looking for a top-notch second or third-year law student who is a critical thinker, an eager learner, and a team player. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of

Fall 2025

and will run through the end of the year, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.

Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of ASI Office of General Counsel attorneys, you will: Conduct legal due diligence regarding prospective companies that will make products and services available to AARP members as member benefits Draft non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in collaboration with business development and lines of business Conduct legal research, as necessary Contract analysis, as necessary Draft memoranda and other documents, as necessary Qualifications

Second or third year law student at the start of the internship Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills Must be a self-starter and adaptable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise Proficiency with Lexis and other legal research platforms Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate is $21. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
