Westaff Hiring Bilingual Teller for Company in Meriden, CT!
About the Role: This role serves as the face of our credit union, assisting members with their financial transactions, answering inquiries, and promoting our products and services. The ideal candidate is dependable, service-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
8:15am-4:45 M, T, W, Fri, 8:15-5:15pm Th, OT on Saturdays 8:30-12:15pm
Pay:
$18/hr
Key Responsibilities: Provide account services such as processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, and money orders. Accurately handle and balance cash drawers and transactions daily. Respond to member inquiries in person and over the phone; refer members to appropriate departments when necessary. Cross-sell and promote credit union products and services; participate in sales and referral incentive programs. Label and handle coin and currency bags; assist with servicing coin machines. Detect and report potential fraudulent activity or suspicious transactions. Maintain organized and secure teller stations. Assist with daily branch opening and closing procedures. Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and Bank Secrecy Act regulations. Required qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash and member transactions. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Prior teller or cash-handling experience preferred.
