Job Description
Lead preconstruction planning, including cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals. Oversee bid solicitation and subcontractor selection processes. Review and analyze construction documents for accuracy and completeness. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize project costs and timelines. Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Maintain strong communication with clients to address project requirements and expectations. Support the transition from preconstruction to active construction phases. A successful Multifamily Construction Preconstruction Manager should have:
A strong understanding of preconstruction processes in the multifamily property industry. 5+ years in a preconstruction role with a GC focusing on wood frame projects Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project planning. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with project stakeholders. Familiarity with construction documents, design processes, and local building codes.
