Job Summary The Electronics Technology Adjunct Faculty will provide instruction, outcomes assessment and facilitate students' learning in the theory and practical application of Automation Technology. This includes but is not limited to the following: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Industrial Mechanics, Electrical Systems, Motor Controls, PLCs, HMI's, Instrumentation, and Troubleshooting.

The Adjunct Faculty will support learning in an in-person self-paced learning model using lecture/lab instruction and completing all required reports and documentation.

This position will be assigned courses taught from 7am-1pm or from 3pm-9pm at the Westpointe Campus. Other schedules may be evaluated. This is a pooled position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of industrial automation topics Programming PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs Good mechanical aptitude Understanding of electrical circuits as they relate to automation. Teaching:

Instruct students through self-paced labs, and ensure course learning outcomes are met Creates an effective, supportive learning environment for Salt Lake Technical College students. Evaluate student learning through labs and assignments Maintain student performance records Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work without close supervision in a team with diverse membership. Ability to take initiative and resolve problems. Ability to work within a prescribed curriculum and departmental procedures while maintaining patience, creativity, and cooperative attitude. Excellent attendance record and attitude. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities. All Faculty will maintain an on-site campus presence to encourage in-person relationships and create engaging, meaningful, and impactful learning experiences unless approved for on-line only courses. You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member/ Instructor on a contract-to-contract basis, with no future expectation or obligation for employment. Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time. You are required to maintain professional boundaries with all SLCC students. Minimum qualifications Salt Lake Technical College or equivalent certificate in Automation Technology and 4 years of relevant industry experience,

6 years of relevant industry experience.
