Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

Logistics & Inventory Control SUPERVISOR

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control & Materials Supervisor manages the materials team and organizes activities to ensure effective and efficient flow of materials and products from arrival until stored or shipped, while aligning with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Plans and manages manpower and the physical consolidation floor to support shift activity regarding flow of materials and products

Manages the inventory positions of products and coordinates with areas necessary to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained

Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt of products, and to resolve work order discrepancies

Fosters the professional growth and development of material handlers through personal example, effective counseling, and appropriate training

Makes personnel and product decisions within the limits of specifications, manuals and company policy

Compiles charts, graphs and other data for Inventory and Materials Management Function use and for management review

Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements

Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs

Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

Steps up when needed and stretches to meet the needs of the business

Other responsibilities as assigned

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications:

Experience in SAP with inventory and shipping transactions highly desired

Experience with cycle counting and managing annual physical counts

Ability to document and manage standard work processes and instructions

Excellent communication, organization and team building skills

Ability to follow instructions and apply processes and procedures to complex tasks

Exercises good judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems

Able to read standard measuring devices

Proficient computer skills, and strong attention to detail

Aerospace Manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Education & Experience:

Education requirement: must have a completed Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in prior Materials and/or Inventory Control roles

Competitive Compensation

Pay Range: $100,300 to $166,900 annually

Participation in Annual Incentive Program
