Controller
Career Concepts is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller for a well-established manufacturing and construction company located in the Franklin, PA area. This key leadership role will oversee all financial functions, compliance reporting, and internal accounting operations while supporting management with strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in accounting, a strong compliance background, and the ability to manage and develop support staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and general ledger.
Supervise and support two clerical team members handling payroll and accounts payable.
Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements in collaboration with the company’s CPA firm.
Manage quarterly financial reporting and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations-compliance is a major component of this role.
Collaborate with management and project managers on cost tracking, revenue, and profitability.
Provide business support for bidding, sales analysis, and forecasting.
Handle insurance renewals and coordinate with multiple external agencies.
Build and maintain relationships with banking and vendor partners.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Partner with ownership and leadership on financial performance reviews and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
Manufacturing or construction industry experience highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
