Cox Consulting Network has been retained by an established, growing, privately held company with an excellent corporate culture in its search for an Accountant. The position is hybrid (with ~two days/week in office) and is based in Austin, TX
OPPORTUNITY
The Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller for this Austin headquartered company. The Accountant will be responsible for various aspects of general ledger accounting, including preparation of monthly reports, intercompany reclass, account analysis, ledger entry and reconciliations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Update premium templates, import loss runs, update claims counts, prepare Journal Entries, submit monthly remittance invoice for assumed business Create semi-annual and annual reporting for assumed business Intercompany reclass of Payables and Receivables after pooling process Process General Ledger conversion files from TPA and from internal system Reconcile conversion files to data warehouse Perform account analysis and reconciliation for both balance sheet and expense ledger accounts for various companies, including Bank Account reconciliations and Accounts Receivable reconciliations for multiple programs Update Retail claims worksheets from multiple TPAs, create related Journal Entries and accident-year summaries Assist with Direct Premium and Loss accounting for certain Programs which includes updating premium and loss templates, updating Schedule P workbook and other statutory reporting templates related to those programs Create Journal Entries for quarterly changes to deductible recoveries Requirements
BA in Accounting 1 - 3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably full-cycle Experience with month-end closing Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access database skills Must have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Effective interpersonal skills along with very good problem-solving skills Benefits
