Position Overview
The
Senior Terraform / GCP Infrastructure & Data Engineer
will play a key leadership role in designing, architecting, and implementing cloud data infrastructure on the
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using
Terraform (HCL)
to automate provisioning and management of enterprise-level services such as
networking, compute, storage, security, and databases .
This role requires a strategic thinker capable of providing architectural oversight, aligning with enterprise IT goals, and driving technical excellence across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated provisioning and configuration. Build and maintain mission-critical systems, including networking, security, compute, storage, and databases. Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, security, DevOps, and application teams) to ensure architectural alignment. Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers. Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues. Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience designing and implementing
GCP-based infrastructure
at an enterprise level. Strong proficiency in
Terraform (HCL)
and Infrastructure as Code methodologies. Deep understanding of
GCP services
including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and networking. Hands-on experience with
CI/CD pipelines ,
Cloud Build , or equivalent tools. Knowledge of
data infrastructure ,
security best practices , and
monitoring frameworks . Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead complex technical projects with minimal supervision.
