Senior Maintenance Technician, Night Shift

A great maintenance mechanic is a teammate that places safety first. The maintenance technician is well versed in mechanical and electrical maintenance with knowledge of troubleshooting, reading blueprints and can work as a team player with different sets of skills.

Your Key Responsibilities: • Leverage knowledge and ability to operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools • Demonstrate experience in maintenance trades and components (ex. Low voltage electrical (240V and less), PLC, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, valves, mechanical maintenance, steam system, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems) • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the facility, with limited direction in a CMMS system. Document completed work and the conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software and interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations • Operating forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts following standard production documentation to deliver to the correct location • Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment • Ensure adherence to all management systems including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and FSSC 22000, with an understanding of the company's Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. Responsible for ensuring that these policies and procedures are implemented throughout the organization and all related activities under the position's jurisdiction

You Bring:

Education & Training: High School Diploma required, with Trade School Certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance. Hands-On Maintenance Experience: 5+ years in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a food manufacturing or industrial facility, with proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment. Additional Skills: Welding experience is beneficial, especially for repair and fabrication needs. Certifications: Maintenance/Industrial certification required; demonstrates technical credibility and safe work practices. Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to identify issues and perform repairs accurately. Licensing Advantage: Class II Stationary Engineering License is highly valued and considered a plus. Automation Knowledge: Exposure to or experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and controls is an asset.
