Salary: $17.37/hr DOE (25-26 base salary)

Contract Days: 165

Daily: Three Forks operates on a four-day school week, Monday through Thursday, and one Friday per month. 2025 - 2026 School Calendar

Reports to: Early Childhood Director

Summary: To provide necessary support for young children enrolled in the Three Forks Early Learning 2YK Program. Assists the Lead 2YK teacher with appropriate grade level curriculum implementation. The successful candidate will need to work creatively and cooperatively to establish positive relationships with colleagues and students.

Childcare Facility Operation: Knowledge of general concepts of child growth, development, and behavior characteristics. Demonstrates an understanding, patient, warm, positive, and receptive attitude toward children. Assumes responsibility for supervising children within the Early Childhood program. Assists with routine daily record keeping and reporting. Maintains cooperative working relationships with staff, students, parents, and the general public. Meets and greets the parents & public in a courteous manner. Assists EC Lead Teachers in maintaining a proper learning environment including a safe and orderly arrangement and appropriate decor and appearance. Assists with required daily sanitation of toys and equipment. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and attends in-service and staff meetings as required by the Three Forks School District. Accepts responsibility for reporting to work on time and maintaining accurate records of work time. Regular and dependable attendance with ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises and provides care and education for students in the Three Forks Schools Care and Education Program.

Safety:

Work safely to prevent accidents Maintain a clean, sanitary, and clutter free facility to ensure children's safety. Ensure safety protocols, including emergency procedures and health guidelines, are followed diligently. Document child injuries and illnesses when needed. Promote and observe safe work methods; use safety equipment, secure work sites, participate in and conduct safety trainings.

Equipment Used:

A variety of electronic and technology devices, computers, copier, telephone/voice mail, fax.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand; twist at neck and waist; kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet environments. May be required to lift or move up to 20 pounds.

Mental/Motor Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another). Guidance and reinforcement are infrequently available. The employee frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity. The employee is frequently involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.

Three Forks is a Class B district, kindergarten through 12th grade, with approximately 775 students.

Education/Experience: High school education. Background in early childhood education or child care preferred. Must have human relations skills such as the ability to work with children, good sense of humor, enthusiasm, patience, and the ability to accept responsibility. The ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community is required. Must become certified in CPR and First Aide.
