Sr Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Electronics)

9/80 Work Schedule Hours:
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday-Thursday), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Every other Friday) Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be the quality leader responsible for implementing and sustaining robust quality systems throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Non-Conformance Management: Owning, managing, and supporting FRBs (Failure Review Board) and MRBs (Material Review Board) to address non-conformances, analyze data, and drive effective Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA). Production Support: Providing direct operational and manufacturing quality support; monitoring assembly process controls, particularly within the electronics lab environment. Process Improvement: Developing and implementing proactive quality methodologies, analyzing process problems, and applying LEAN manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement. Compliance & Audits: Ensuring adherence to the AS9100 Quality System standards, developing and documenting new processes, and supporting external quality audits. Data and Reporting: Preparing End Item Data Package (EIDP) reports by collecting and analyzing quality performance data, and owning customer pre-ship review processes. Supply Chain Quality: Supporting overall supplier management and performing supplier assessments. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical/engineering discipline. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace manufacturing or defense contracting industry, with a focus on electronics/electrical components. Electronics Standards: J-STD and/or NASA training/experience is required (Certifications strongly preferred). Process Expertise: Strong working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System and LEAN manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma). Technical Skills: Capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings and instructions; expert knowledge of electronic hardware handling protocols (e.g., ESD and FOD). Tools: Prior working knowledge of TIPQA or a similar Quality Management System (QMS) tool. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading or participating in complex
AS9100
or customer audits. Advanced Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt). Benefits and Logistics Compensation:
