(Once hired full-time: commission and bonuses available with potential to earn $50-$60k your first year!)
Responsibilities
Manage and follow up on outstanding patient accounts to ensure timely collections. Establish and maintain positive rapport with patients while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Contact patients by phone, email, and mail regarding past-due balances and payment arrangements. Review and resolve payer denials or billing discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. Document all communication and account activity within the billing system. Collaborate with internal billing and customer service teams to ensure account accuracy and compliance. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Meet or exceed daily and monthly collection goals. Training is available
- candidates will be supported throughout onboarding to ensure success in the role. Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a collections environment (1st or 3rd party). Strong communication and negotiation skills; able to work with diverse individuals to resolve payment issues. Working knowledge of medical billing and terminology (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) is a plus. Ability to interpret and resolve payer denials. High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
