Responsibilities
This employee works under the direction of the Clinical Research Program Manager, Clinical Research Coordinator, Clinical Research Hub Director, or principal investigator. Their duties are as follows:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages Prepare all collected specimens for testing, analysis, and/or storage Maintain participant and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Conduct inventory maintenance and supply ordering in coordination with the Business Manager and Clinical Research Program Manager Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of previous experience as a phlebotomist (adult population) Strong customer service skills Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Reliable transportation Flexible hours of availability
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of previous experience as a phlebotomist (adult or pediatric population) Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

This Phlebotomist (OPS) opening will be used to recruit multiple positions.
Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check .
This position is opened until filled.
We are building phlebotomy service capacity for FSU that can eventually operate from 6am to 6pm. Our ideal candidates will be available for most of these operating hours; however, we also have opportunities for those seeking partial or flexible schedules to help fill in coverage needs throughout the day. This work load could range from approximately 8- 20 hours a week. The work will take place between Monday - Friday. The supervisor will work with the selected candidate to establish the schedule based on the needs of the department and the candidate's availability.
