Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports all aspects of the Law School's admission application and recruiting process. Key areas of focus for the Assistant Director are in reviewing and evaluating applications, coordinating and participating in our Interview Program, executing admissions-related in-person and virtual programs and events, and maintaining data integrity with the Law School's Office of Admissions and improving operational processes to meet a high level of student service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Application Review:

Review applicants' files, assess applicants' qualifications for admission to law school, and make admission recommendations. Utilize the Admissions Office's evaluation matrix and input metrics into admissions reviews. Coordinate and conduct thirty-minute online/phone interviews with candidates for admission. Assess and record candidate's preparedness, professionalism, knowledge, and fit for Villanova.

Recruitment & Marketing:

Assist in the planning and execution of recruitment and yield events, including travelling for recruitment events. Assist in the development and management of the student ambassador program. Assist in the development/creation of marketing materials/web, as needed. Manage email marketing campaigns for prospective and admitted applicants throughout admissions cycle.

Prospective Student Engagement:

Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance and support throughout the admissions process. Conduct one-on-one meetings with prospective students to discuss their goals, interests, and questions about the Law School. Organize and facilitate virtual and in-person information sessions and campus tours for prospective students and their families.

Admissions Operations Support:

Assist in the maintenance of admissions systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data. Collaborate with other departments, such as financial aid and student services, to facilitate the admissions process for admitted students. Prepare reports and analyses related to admissions activities and outcomes as needed.

Admissions Materials Development:

Contribute to the development of admissions materials, including brochures, website content, and social media posts. Ensure that admissions materials accurately reflect the programs, culture, and values of Villanova Law. Stay informed about trends and best practices in law school admissions and higher education marketing Student Ambassadors:

Oversee the 50-75 Student Ambassadors, coordinating their involvement on panels/tours/events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education

Bachelor's degree Minimum Work Experience

Familiarity with college/university admissions processes, 2+ years of related experience Specific Work Skiil

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to multi-task, Must be highly motivated, team player, have proactive approach to problem solving, willing to seek out ways to improve current processes, and ability to easily acclimate to new systems and procedures. Willing to work/travel some nights and weekends, especially during peak travel season in the fall and yielding events in the spring. Preferred Qualifications:

JD preferred. Working knowledge of Unite and Banner, 3-5 years of related experience, Experience working in Law School admissions. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

Must be willing to work/travel some nights and weekends.

Salary Posting Information:

This position falls within salaried grade 13 and the range for this position is $51,000-63,800. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
