Job Summary:
Our Lafayette, IN client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Assembler
to join our production team. The Assembler is responsible for building, fitting, and assembling components and products according to specifications, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures. Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, or schematics to perform accurate assembly tasks. Inspect parts for defects or malfunctions before and after assembly. Maintain clean and organized workstations to ensure a safe and efficient environment. Meet daily production targets and quality standards. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues. Perform basic quality control checks on finished products. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors. Pack and label assembled parts for shipping or further processing. Maintain accurate production records and time tracking as required. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools. Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime if required. Working Conditions:
Fast-paced industrial environment Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and occasionally chemicals or adhesives Safety gear (PPE) must be worn at all times
