EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for a over 70,000 people in need through 120 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Recruitment Assistant to work part time for the Human Resources Department.

Wage: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Up to 29 hours - Flexible days/hoursLocation: Hybrid - 99 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd in Garden City (3 days onsite/2 days remote)

Measurable Objectives:

To assist the HR Department in handling administrative tasks pertaining to Recruitment

Maintaining and organizing records and personnel files.

Preparing for recruitment needs and efforts.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with recruiting efforts, job fair, and marketing events.

Assisting in sourcing candidates using recruiting tools such as Indeed, handshake and social media platforms.

Assisting Recruitment Manager in the preparation and attendance of job fairs.

Review applications/ resumes and assess who should move on to screening based on resume and pre-interview questions.

Screen candidates via a live or virtual interview and decide as to which candidates move on to second-round interviews.

Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates.

Update databases and related channels for sourcing candidates.

Assist with pre-hire onboarding process:

Assist with conducting pre-employment checks.

Gather candidate paperwork e-filing into digital employee files.

Prepare new hire orientation packets.

Prepare onboarding kits (stationary, t-shirts, company swag)

Assisting Sr. Recruiter during new hire orientation.

Coordinate New Hire Training Plan completion.

Gaining exposure and experience with HRIS system.

Support HR department in assisting with clerical workload as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Some experience in assisting recruitment efforts preferred

Knowledge of computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments a big plus.

Must have pleasant phone manner and good interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Able to conduct self in a professional manner.
