Position: Fire Alarm Installation Technician
Duties/Responsibilities: Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair, or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance. Prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports. Work independently or supervise others as required. Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided. Provide customer service, coordination, and communication. What You Bring:
Proven experience as a fire alarm installation technician. In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and related equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Commitment to safety standards and protocols. Required Skills/Abilities:
NICET certifications a plus, but not required. Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus. Diagnosis and troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems. Positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors, and customers. Competent computer skills. Education and Experience:
Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required. AA degree in electronics preferred, but not required, or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus. Valid driver's license. Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician licenses as required. Physical Requirements:
Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs. Willing to work at heights. Able to operate electrical tools. Able to differentiate color coding of cables. Able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
