In the role of a Tool Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of precision molds for plastic injection molding machines. This includes the tear down and assembly of molds in a safe and efficient manner according to ISO, GMP and OSHA standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Detects and reports damaged mold, equipment and unusual conditions to supervisor. Tears down, assembles, and cleans molds safely and efficiently according to procedures and processes. Troubleshoots mold problems on the manufacturing floor. Corrects problems within limits of established company practices. Develops and documents instructions for safe and efficient mold tear down, assembly, and clean. Identifies and labels proper configuration of mold components for proper assembly of desired part. Ensures regular attendance. Maintains proper supply if inventory to perform tasks of position. Identifies and follows up with appropriate Engineer or Tooling personnel for damage to molds and/or updates to instructions. Puts pipes/fittings on mold and hydraulic lines, if needed. Maintains proper date code information for all active tooling. Ensures ability to properly move and place molds and components using appropriate equipment and following proper lifting and handling techniques. Maintains tools and related equipment, clean, assemble and install mold components. Performs normal preventive maintenance. Inspects parts produced from mold for damage or quality defects caused by mold or related components or equipment. Assures that the due dates are met on all internal and external orders. Maintains efficiency, housekeeping, and safety. Performs all other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one (1) year experience in the plastics industry, preferably injection molding or demonstrably mechanically inclined. A minimum of (2 - 3) years of relevant hands on mold cleaning and tooling experience. Knowledge of tool room machines. Knowledge of inspection and measuring techniques. Ability to read blueprints. ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 background required. Working knowledge of ISO, GMP and OSHA standards. Effectively apply lean manufacturing principles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; be a team player; and have the ability to develop a team atmosphere. Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, ERP systems and IQMS. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Desirable Qualifications:

Tooling experience is a plus. Plastic injection molding experience a plus. ADA Requirements:

Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer

Hourly Range $18.50 - $24.00 / hour
