Job Description
This position involves a variety of tasks in a general warehouse setting. Candidates will be responsible for picking tires to prepare for shipping and putting away truck loads as they arrive. Duties include pulling tires off pallets, scanning for DOT information, and placing them on a conveyor belt for shipping. Over time, candidates will have the opportunity to operate a cherry picker and possibly learn to operate a forklift, although this is not primarily a forklift position and such training will occur after several months.
Responsibilities
Pick tires for shipping and put away incoming truck loads.
Pull tires off pallets and scan for DOT information.
Place tires on a conveyor belt for shipping.
Operate a cherry picker to pick tires and move pallets.
Work across various areas including Customer Pick up, Shipping, Mount and Balance, and shrink wrapping.
Engage in tasks such as blowing up tires or screwing in bolts.
Participate in cross-training across different areas of the warehouse.
Essential Skills
Experience with warehouse operations and order picking.
Proficiency in using an RF scanner.
Ability to operate a cherry picker.
6+ months of warehouse experience.
6+ months of experience in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with forklift operations is beneficial but not immediately required.
