Employees in this job function are responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operations of physical or virtual servers, private cloud, networks (including telecommunication), PCs, and other business critical infrastructure components. They oversee the technology infrastructure that supports the business and support internal users in troubleshooting and escalating issues that impact system health. They are also responsible for setting up user systems and operating systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, mainframes, telecommunication network and virtualization platforms. 2. Collaborate with the security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls,. 3. Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS and wireless access points, to support seamless communication within trusted corporate and with untrusted external networks. 4. Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity during system failures or following malicious threats. 5. Monitor usage patterns of enterprise systems to identify potential issues like SLA metrics and proactively resolve them to ensure the continued availability and reliability of critical systems . 6. Analyze system capacity and performance trends to anticipate future infrastructure needs and provide recommendations for investment prioritizations, as necessary. 7. Perform routine network maintenance & system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes & enhancements. 8. Design and implement IaC scripts and automated processes to reduce manual intervention and enhance repeatability and testability of infrastructure modifications. 9. Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues that are escalated by tech support teams and ensure resolutions are documented and added to the organization's knowledge repository 10. Set-up and configure user systems, including installing and configuring operating systems, software applications, and hardware devices 11. limited on call support Automate the creation and testing of Windows Server templates for virtual machines and physical hardware using a CI/CD pipeline Automate the installation and configuration of Windows Server Operating System infrastructure using a multitude of tools such as Terraform, vRA/vRO, Habitat, Chef, Ruby, PowerShell Automate manual processes associated with infrastructure deployment via pipelines and infrastructure-as-code Provide L3 Engineering support to Operations teams for all aspects of the Windows Server Operating System Provide cross-team support for deploying Windows Server infrastructure to multiple target environments Provide technical direction for the Windows Server Operating System platform Review and evaluate monthly Windows Security updates for Microsoft Server Operating system and determine a criticality level for each update based on mitigating and environmental factors. Experience Required: 7-10 years experience a. Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (2012R2/2016/2019) b. Deep technical knowledge of Windows PowerShell c. Technical knowledge of Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) d. Technical knowledge of Windows Clustering e. 5+ Years of demonstrated ability with Microsoft Windows Server OS and related technologies f. 5+ Years of experience with Windows Server Operating system for virtual machines and physical hardware g. Experience with VMWare and HPE server technologies h. Experience with scripting and programming languages with a focus on PowerShell (PowerShell, Batch, Ruby, Groovy, etc)

Additional Information: hybrid position 4 days a week onsite a. 20% troubleshooting - Level 3 support. Performance, functional, debugging troubleshooting. Working with customers, understanding issues, research, coordination with Microsoft and other vendors. b. 30% group work: Pairing, and team activities including meetings and standups, discussion of priorities, brainstorming. c. 50% individual work: pulling stories from backlog, research, POC, trying out solutions and delivering automation code.
