Job Title: Fabrication Welder
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Salary: $23-26/hour
Job Summary of the Fabrication Welder:
We are looking to hire a Full-Time experienced Welder who can read blueprints. 1st shift opportunity.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Fabrication Welder: • Operate various pieces of equipment, including hand plasma, saws, brake press, and deburring equipment. • Weld quality parts set by blueprint specifications using jigs when available, while meeting production standard times. • Keep work area clean and organized. • Be safe in all operations of the job.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Fabrication Welder : • Requires a High School degree or GED. • 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to read blueprints. • Must be able to lay out parts and fabricate as needed. • Requires an on-site weld test prior to placement. (Mig) • Proficient in measuring and calculating fractions, decimals, and angles. • Must be able to utilize various measurement tools, including but not limited to square, angle square, calipers, and tape measure (to 1/32"). • Use of wrenches, air tools, hand-held grinders, overhead cranes, steel handling and lifting skills. • Forklift experience or ability to train on the operation of a forklift.
