Senior Cloud Developer Contract/ Contract to Hire Atlanta/GA

Job Responsibilities: Develop solid, modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation/migration, and API product development to support critical applications. Create and maintain data APIs and data delivery services that support operational and analytical applications for internal business operations, customers, and partners. Build and support data-centric products encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. Analyze technical information and produce high-quality software solutions. Collaborate proactively with teammates to deliver project goals. Offer creative solutions to overcome technical challenges and obstacles. Work within automated testing and CI/CD processes to ensure reliable deployments. Maintain deep expertise in the products and solutions developed. Document solutions through written materials and diagrams; communicate effectively across teams. Follow developer coding standards to ensure solutions meet design goals and business needs. Identify technical issues, articulate their impact, and prioritize appropriately. Communicate proactively with both the team and leadership. Collaborate effectively with vendors as required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with multiple disparate systems. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred; Azure/Google a plus). Proficiency in Python, Java, shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell), and SQL. Experience with streaming data and extracting data from various databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.). Experience deploying and managing infrastructures using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. Familiarity with scalable data extraction tools is a plus. Experience with Kafka, Aurora, AWS Glue, and Redshift is a plus. Understanding of data engineering, real-time streaming/eventing, and JSON parsing. Experience automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and integration (Jenkins, Ansible, etc.). Experience building microservices and API architectures. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Flexible, collaborative, and eager to learn. Business intelligence/analytics experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge):

Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Experience in the airline industry.
