The Opportunity:

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment support West Liberty University's mission by leading the effort to create a compelling and attractive vision for potential students, enhancing the admission process for those candidates, and assuring a rewarding, meaningful and successful experience for those who attend. The Director of Admissions and Recruitment oversee and directs the procedures and strategies for the recruitment of new undergraduate students.

Essential Functions of the position:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Provides leadership in the planning, development, and administration of an institution division in a manner that is consistent with the institution's mission. Research, strategically plan, schedule, and analytically evaluate high school visits, college fairs and alternative territory recruitment programs in primary recruitment areas to meet enrollment targets while actively maintaining relationships with community members, school counselors, prospective students, and families in assigned territory. Supports institutional student recruitment efforts by understanding the data stored in the student information systems database tables, and helps maintain the integrity of the data entered into the database. Develop and design recruitment publications and literature. Supervisory Requirements Provides leadership and direction for the undergraduate admissions unit and oversees all recruitment staff. Supervises professional recruitment team. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines, and manages leave system requests. Recruitment

Coordinates the design and implementation of consistent communication through the recruitment and admission process and throughout enrollment. Conduct high school visits, college fairs, and specific events related to student recruitment. Utilize the Customer Management System (CRM), to view student records, log interactions, develop reports, review applications, monitor events, and communicate with students. Assist in planning and executing admissions office events including but not limited to campus visits, open houses, and admitted student days. Develop and make presentations to prospective students, parents, and guidance counselors for college fairs and high school visit programs. Manages Admissions Processing Supports the efficiency of admission procedures by coordinating the development and maintenance of procedure manuals and promoting the effective use of technical tools. Make decisions on admitting or denying students in a timely manner based on the operational goal of the department. Support communication plan development and updates Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Serves as a resource and guide to others in the department and/or institution in questions of admissions policy and procedural issues, precedents, etc. Prepares various institutional reports, statistical reports, and summaries regarding recruitment and admissions to be used in strategic planning, setting goals, and evaluation as needed. Represent West Liberty University on and off campus

Serve as a liaison to academic departments; develop and maintain relationships with on-campus departments and organizations involved in outreach to students. Additional Duties

Travel may be required to support recruitment or professional activities. Coordinates freshmen registration. Supports Transfer evaluations as needed. Manages budget for Admissions/Recruitment. Additional duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements:

Required a bachelor's degree in related field. Required 1-3 years' experience working in administrative capacity in academic program administration, admissions support, or a field directly related. Master's Degree in related field preferred. Skills/Abilities:

Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Office Suite, databases, CRM systems, and related software. Excellent verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to develop reports. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to analyze and resolve issues. Strong data evaluation skills, with the ability to collect, assess, and draw conclusions from data. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a timely manner. Experience working with diverse constituencies and the ability to quickly learn university operations. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Strong leadership and management skills to support, develop, and inspire staff and student teams in achieving departmental and institutional goals.
