Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Job Type: W2 Contract - 12 months
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: M - F, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $ 35 - 50 / hour
Position Overview:
Experienced Contract Lead responsible for managing the full lifecycle of supplier contracts within the Procurement organization. Oversees contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and compliance to ensure alignment with business goals, legal standards, and regulatory requirements. Serves as the main point of contact for all procurement contract activity, collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver commercially sound and risk-mitigated agreements.
Core Skills and Expertise
Contract Management & Negotiation
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts across direct, indirect, logistics, and contract manufacturing categories. Manage redlines, supplier edits, and escalate complex issues to legal counsel as needed. Lead contract initiation, execution, and renewal to meet business timelines. Build and maintain positive supplier relationships while securing favorable outcomes. Compliance & Risk Oversight
Ensure contracts meet internal governance, regulatory, and supplier risk standards. Apply new laws and policies to contract language and risk assessments. Support compliance reporting, audits, and risk reviews. CLM System & Process Optimization
Utilize CLM tools (e.g., Summize) to manage workflows, obligations, and renewals. Track and analyze contract data for audits, reporting, and procurement decisions. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and compliance visibility. Templates, Clauses & Knowledge Management
Maintain and update standard contract templates and clause libraries. Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams to roll out new standards and best practices. Support training initiatives to improve contract literacy across the organization. Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance teams to align contract terms with strategic goals. Support procurement-led projects involving external supplier engagement. Build strong working relationships to ensure seamless contract execution. Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field (JD or Paralegal certification a plus) 5+ years
