Facility: Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU & Perinatal Center, Accreta Center of Excellence, Comprehensive Stroke Center Start Date: December 1, 2025 End Date: February 28, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360–$2420 Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 (Active Labor), 1:3 (Antepartum) Charting System: EPIC Parking: Free designated areas Scrub Color: Provided Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a Level III Perinatal Care setting (required) Experience with high-risk obstetric and neonatal care Proficient in placenta accreta support, tubal ligation, cerclage, hysterectomies, massive transfusions, and pre-eclampsia management Skilled in fetal monitoring, maternal assessments/interventions, cervical exams, OB triage, and post-partum care Active Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin or compact state (RN licensure required for Wisconsin nursing jobs) Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications COVID-19 vaccination (required) First-time travel nurses are not eligible for this assignment Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for high-risk mothers and newborns Assist as secondary nurse for C-section deliveries and circulate during vaginal deliveries Perform maternal and newborn assessments, cervical exams, and OB triage Support surgical recovery, post-partum, and L&D recoveries Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, clinical resource nurses, midwives, OBGYNs, and anesthesia providers Float as needed to Postpartum and Women’s Care Center units Document patient care using EPIC; utilize Alaris, Pyxis, and fetal monitoring equipment Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines and hospital protocols Why Choose Milwaukee for Your Next Nursing Assignment?
