Job Description:
As a QA Automation Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of new and existing systems. This role involves both manual and automated testing, with a focus on functional and non-functional requirements. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and system engineers to design and implement robust testing strategies, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and system modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing
• Design, execute, and automate API testing using XUnit and manual testing using Postman
• Collaborate with developers and platform engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, report, and track defects; ensure timely resolution and documentation
• Improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency
• Review system requirements, test scripts, and scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Generate and maintain automated test artifacts including unit tests, regression tests, load tests, and accessibility compliance
• Ensure testing libraries and documentation are current and relevant
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews
• Support testing for web, mobile, database, and cloud-native applications
• Provide support for accessibility, cross-browser, and mobile compatibility testing
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are met
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts)
• 5+ years of experience with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript or similar languages
• 5+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks and manual testing methodologies
• Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in large-scale Agile projects
• Proficiency in UI, backend, API, and hardware test automation
• Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks, CI/CD methodologies, and DevOps practices
• Experience with .NET, SharePoint, Salesforce, and database systems like SQL/Postgres
• Familiarity with web service testing (REST, SOAP, WCF) and tools like SOAPUI
• Understanding of accessibility testing tools (Andi, Axe Dev Tools)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development and object-oriented design principles
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with QA functional test suites such as UFT
• Working knowledge of C#, WCF, jQuery, XML, JSON, WebApi, JavaScript
• Experience with virtualized hosting environments and enterprise system integration
• Knowledge of MuleSoft, .NET Framework, and application modeling/design
• Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft SharePoint
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
