Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all necessary administrative and secretarial functions to support the smooth operation of the Cardiac Imaging Department.
- Greet and check in patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls; take messages or direct inquiries as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with imaging technicians and physicians as necessary.
- Maintain patient records, including filing, scanning, and updating electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and departmental documentation.
- Monitor and maintain front desk supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments, including Radiology, Cardiology, and Patient Services, to ensure accurate patient flow and service.
- Handle patient registration, insurance verification, and co-pay collection as required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by department leadership.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred, especially in a cardiac or imaging department.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with EHR systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and professionalism.
