Our client is a leading real estate development firm headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, known for delivering high-quality multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects across the region. With a strong track record of successful developments and a growing project pipeline, they are seeking a Vice President of Real Estate Development to lead all phases of the development lifecycle, from site acquisition and entitlement through design, construction, and delivery.
The Role
As Vice President of Real Estate Development, you will be responsible for driving new project opportunities and overseeing existing developments through every stage. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, investors, and external stakeholders to ensure financial success and on-time delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing, acquisition, and entitlement of new development sites.
- Oversee all aspects of the development process, including design, budgeting, construction, and delivery.
- Manage financial feasibility, underwriting, and project pro-formas to evaluate investment returns.
- Coordinate with city officials, consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and strategic partners.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in real estate development, with a proven record delivering multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial projects.
- Strong background in financial modeling, entitlements, and construction oversight.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s ).
- Deep understanding of the Philadelphia real estate market and regulatory environment.
