Ehmke Manufacturing Company is a respected leader in the textile industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and operational efficiency. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist tosupport our Senior Buyer in maintaining accurate inventory and materials control. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing environments and proficiency in Sage 100 ERP or equivalent ERP systems.

What You’ll Do

The Inventory Control Specialist will ensure the integrity of inventory data, manage work tickets, and collaborate across departments to maintain optimal stock levels. Responsibilities include system transaction processing, barcode scanning, and coordination of material movements within our supply chain. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this role plays a critical part in supporting both purchasing and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts, reconciliations, and ERP updates
  • Process and track work tickets in Sage 100 ERP or a comparable ERP platform
  • Utilize barcode scanning systems to monitor inventory transactions in real time
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to align inventory availability with production schedules
  • Support the receiving, labeling, and storage of raw materials and finished goods
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies related to inventory quantities or locations
  • Generate reports to support purchasing, planning, and audit processes
  • Recommend improvements to inventory processes and materials handling workflows
  • Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and compliance standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of inventory control or warehouse operations experience in a manufacturing or textile environment
  • Experience with Sage 100 ERP or equivalent ERP systems is required
  • Proficiency with barcode scanning technology and inventory tracking tools
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
