Job Details

The Data Architect will own the design, development, and governance of an enterprise-wide data lakehouse environment, ensuring scalability, integrity, and performance. This role will partner with both business and technology teams to enable analytics, automation, and AI capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a Databricks-based lakehouse architecture integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Define the end-to-end data architecture blueprint, including ingestion, storage, modeling, and governance.
• Develop data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks that ensure accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
• Build and maintain enterprise data models to support BI, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, Delta Live Tables, and streaming data processes.
• Optimize compute, storage, and cost efficiency across the cloud environment.
• Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform.
• Manage metadata and enable governed access using Unity Catalog.
• Partner with stakeholders to align data strategy with enterprise analytics and AI goals.
• Research and recommend new data technologies and platforms to support modernization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data design.
• Hands-on experience designing modern lakehouse architectures (Databricks or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and governance frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures (medallion, data mesh, real-time streaming).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

• Experience with Unity Catalog or Delta Sharing.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI integration in data pipelines.
• Background in multi-entity or professional services environments.
• Databricks or Data Engineering certifications.
