Appian Practice Director / Chief Architect
to lead and grow our Appian practice. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the technical strategy, ensuring delivery excellence, and expanding our capabilities across the federal sector. The ideal candidate is a
seasoned Appian leader
who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team. This role will provide hands-on architectural oversight and delivery for mission-critical programs while driving innovation and practice maturity. Define & Execute on the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for iShift’s Appian practice. Build and mentor the team of Appian developers, architects, and consultants. Establish best practices, governance, and reusable frameworks. Client Delivery & Architecture Serve as
Chief Architect
for enterprise-level Appian implementations in federal agencies. Provide technical leadership, build and design solutions, and solution architecture for complex programs. Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Appian solutions. Business Development & Thought Leadership Support proposal development, solutioning, and client presentations. Build strong relationships with Appian and key federal stakeholders. Represent iShift as an Appian subject matter expert at industry events, conferences, and client briefings. Required Qualifications Proven Leader:
15+ years in IT with a strong foundation in software engineering and architecture, demonstrating the ability to drive complex, enterprise-level solutions. 10+ years
of experience within the
Appian ecosystem , delivering enterprise solutions and hands-on experience designing and delivering large-scale implementations. Proven leadership
experience building and managing Appian practices or large teams and set the direction for the Appian practice, define standards, and inspire a culture of excellence and innovation. Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
with a desire to build and scale a high-performing practice from the ground up. Exceptional communication , presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills to build trusted relationships at the executive level. Expertise in Appian architecture, performance optimization, and integration patterns. Thrives on solving complex business challenges through technology and brings a
forward-thinking, solutions-oriented approach. Federal Delivery Experience:
Familiarity with federal environments, compliance requirements, and working within mission-driven programs. U.S. Citizenship required (Federal project support). About iShift At
