What You’ll Do
- Inspect and test first production pieces and supplier samples mechanically and electrically to insure that Renco standards are met and that each piece is according to customers and Renco drawings
- Write Voltech programs for the electrical testing of first articles by production and Quality Assurance
- Clear all issues with Engineering, Document Control and production before approving first article for production
- Inspect and test non‑conforming pieces received from customers (RMA’s) and from production. Determine cause for the non‑conformance, write Material Review Reports (MRR) and complete appropriate forms and paperwork explaining cause
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing, sampling each order being shipped, according to the proper MIL sampling standard, to insure that parts meet Renco and customer standards and requirements
- Assist QA Supervisor in maintaining an inventory of all test equipment to make sure that each unit stays in calibration
- Maintain integrity of the QA document files by part numbers
- Match, date, mark and file prints received from Document Control Department
- Update documents when change notices are issued
- Assist production with troubles that are encountered during testing of parts on Voltech
- Assist other co‑workers that need help performing their job
- Must notify management of all problems that are encountered no matter how small or insignificant they may seem
- Must be able to work with other departments and/or groups to resolve problems and complete customer orders in a timely manner
- Follows policies and procedures utilized by the Company and Department to ensure the efficient running of the department and customer satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and those related to the position
- Ability to speak fluently with customers, managers, and fellow employees
What We Value
- Good working knowledge of electronics and understanding of how coils and transformers work
- He/she must know how to operate the various pieces of electronic and mechanical test equipment or know how to find and interpret information on the use of the test equipment being used
- Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and drawings
- Must have a basic understanding of computers and Windows software
