Job Summary

Operators for Fessler & Bowman perform a variety of tasks that assist in the completion of projects. It is crucial to have the skills necessary to work as a valued team member for F&B to provide the type of service our customers have come to expect.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, loader) in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Efficiently operate machines for earth moving, pipe installation & grading operations.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with earthwork and civil construction.
• Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to understand English.
• Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, and crawl often, as well as work on ladders, platforms, and mechanical lifts.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position. The employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

Work Environment

As an Operator, you will be subject to various work environments including high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, and indoor/outdoor settings.
