Role: Hardware Technician

Location: Milpitas, CA (Onsite)

Seeking an experienced Hardware Technician with a strong hands‑on background in rack stacking, hardware troubleshooting, and data center equipment setup.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining high‑performance computing systems, including compute, networking, and storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Rack Stack Installation:
  • Install and configure servers, networking gear, and storage units in data center racks.
  • Ensure proper cabling, labeling, and power management.
• Hardware Troubleshooting:
  • Compute (CPU & GPU):
    • Identify and replace faulty components.
    • Diagnose issues related to thermal, power, or hardware performance.
  • Networking:
    • Integrate and troubleshoot both Ethernet and Infinity Band network infrastructures.
    • Configure and test Ethernet switches and related networking hardware.
  • Storage Systems:
    • Replace failed drives and address hardware issues in storage arrays.
    • Troubleshoot storage systems including SSD‑based setups, RAID configurations, and parallel file systems.
    • Understand file systems, storage policies, and data access performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in hardware deployment and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of:
  • Server architecture and components
  • Network cabling and protocols
  • Storage architecture and drive‑level failure recovery
  • Basic experience with Linux commands and OS
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify and fix hardware issues.
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn emerging technologies and practices in high‑performance computing.

Additional Requirements

• Must be present on‑site in Milpitas, CA 5 days a week.
• Immediate availability preferred.
